weekend in Cremona

Hi guys, today I will talk about my weekend in Cremona, which is a small town in the north of Italy, 80 km from Milan. I will dedicate an entire post to Cremona "city". 

This weekend we decided not to move...saturday evening we had happy hour at our favorite place called "The 21 way"...don't ask me why this strange name...need to investigate!!

Later, after meeting some friends, we went back to to have dinner...and now comes my recipe!!!

Risotto with tomatoes!!!

For 4 people, you need:

- rice 400 gr

- fresh or tinned peeled tomatoes 400gr

- basil

- parmigiano reggiano cheese

- broth 1lt

- salt

- 1 onion

- 2 tablespoons of oil

- butter 20gr

Cut the onion and put it into a pot with the oil, turn on the fire and let the onion cook for a minute (don't let it become brown!). After that, put the rice into the pot and mix together until the rice becomes transparent, then pour some broth into the pot. Add tomatoes and slowly some broth, until the rice is done. before turning off the fire add the basil and some salt. End with butter and cheese, let the rice "sleep" for a couple of minutes.

Pills of the weekend

Hi guys! The weekend is over and the working week is totally started! How did you pass your weekend?

Here's mine!!!

Saturday afternoon we went to my brother's house, we drove my Vespa for 12 km up to this little place called Pozzaglio. I didn't exactly remember which was the address so, we drove around the all area till we finally arrived! He was gardening and his wife offered us a delicious carcadè, a very good drink! I didn't expected! After this little break, before going back home, we stopped to buy the beautiful flowerpot for my mom I talked about in the previous post.

For dinner we went to a famous familiar-country restaurant "Franca e Luciano", everything is totally home made and in the same way our grandparents did it. We ate a lot of appetizers, meat balls, voul-au-vent, cold cuts, ... (I was full after this first course only!!!). As second course we ate a three-dish: saffron and licorice rice, ricotta and spinach tortelli, and pork and asparagus crepes. I was finally, totally, completely full!!! Everything was delicious!!!

We passed sunday at home, the whether was really bad so we stayed all time on the sofa watching tv!

And today? today has been a bad working day (something that happens)...just let me leave you a suggestion, never trust in your colleagues! keep your eyes open!

This noon happened something different, I found a broken-wing seagull just in front of the park of the office, I called the birds association but, when I came back in the afternoon it wasn't were I found it. Hope someone saved it!

Ciao ragazze! Il weekend è finito e la settimana lavorativa è totalmente iniziata! Come avete passato il weekend? Ecco il mio!!!

Sabato pomeriggio siamo andati a casa di mio fratello, abbiamo fatto 12 km in Vespa fino a raggiungere un paesino di nome Pozzaglio. Non mi ricordavo esattamente l'indirizzo così siamo stati costretti a girare l'isolato finchè siamo arrivati! Stava facendo giardinaggio, così sua moglie ci ha offerto del carcadè delizioso, una bibita veramente buona! non me lo aspettavo! Dopo questa piccola pausa, prima di tornare a casa, ci siamo fermati a comprare la bellissima pianta di cui vi ho parlato nel post precedente, quella per la festa della mamma.

Per cena siamo andati in un ristorante famoso, a conduzione familiare "Franca e Luciano", tutto lì è fatto in casa e come si faceva una volta, come lo facevano i nostri nonni. Abbiamo mangiato diversi antipasti, polpette, vuol-au-vent, salumi, ... (ero già piena dopo questa portata!!!). Come primo abbiamo mangiato un tris di: risotto zafferano e liquirizia, tortelli ricotta e spinaci e crèpe con asparagi e cotto. Ero completamente, totalmente, finalmente...piena!!! Tutto veramente delizioso!!

Abbiamo passato la domenica in casa causa maltempo, ne abbiamo approfittato per satre sul divano e guardare la tv!

e oggi? oggi è stata una brutta giornata lavorativa (capita)...lasciatemi dare un consiglio, non credete mai ai vostri colleghi! tenete sempre gli occhi aperti!

Oggi a mezzogiorno è successa una cosa diversa, fuori dal parcheggio del lavoro c'era un gabbiano con l'ala spezzata, ho chiamato la LIPU, ma nel frattempo che sono tornata al lavoro il gabbiano non c'era più. Speriamo che qualcuno l'abbia salvato!
